The other day, I participated as a player in the World Master Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2023 held in Las Vegas!

Recently, it has been talked about that former V6 member Junichi Okada and actor Hiroshi Tamaki will be participating.

The two of us actually practiced together at the same dojo in Tokyo, and they trained together (both of them were strong and had good ankle joints...)

Of course, that world tournament didn't become a hot topic, but it was my first time participating, lol.

Actually, I started Jiu-Jitsu in July 2021 and have been participating in domestic competitions.
Since I have experience in Judo, I achieved a blue belt within two months of starting Jiu-Jitsu, and was competing in domestic competitions as a blue belt.

As for my record, I participated in 7 tournaments and won 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal (I lost my first match in a big upset lol), and I was able to win a gold medal at the biggest tournament in Japan.

Perhaps because of this, I was given the purple belt earlier than usual, and I will receive the purple belt at the promotion ceremony in June 2023.

After that, in July 2023, I made my purple belt debut at the Asian Master Jiu-Jitsu Championships sponsored by the IBJJF, the largest organization in Jiu-jitsu.I lost by one jump to Paralympic judo silver medalist Hirose in the final, which was frustrating, but I was still faced with challenges. We have corrected and adjusted it towards World Master.

And on the day of the World Masters, I was able to win.

As you can see from the photo, I was able to achieve my goal of promoting the ABAND logo from the highest point on the podium.

I had always wanted to do things myself that I had previously left to the players, and this time I was able to do it myself.

We were able to achieve these results because of the customers who use ABAND products, everyone who practices regularly, the director who provides a wonderful environment, Mr. M who supports us, and our wonderful teachers. Thank you for your teachings.

Furthermore, this is my first time participating in the tournament, and I feel encouraged by Mr. Okada and Mr. Tamaki, who showed a great fight despite all the pressure. I think being able to move my body like this led to this result.
